There exists a wide body of research that indicate that learning in the early years establishes the foundations for successful learning thereafter. Indeed, pupils outcomes from early years education is very strongly linked with academic and professional success as young adults and beyond. Therefore an effective early childhood experience is essential in order to provide the optimal conditions for our children.
Research indicates that the best outcomes for children’s learning occur when most of the activity within a child’s day is a mixture of:
- Child-initiated play, actively supported by adults
- Focused (adult led) learning, with adults guiding the learning through playful, rich experiential activities
The Huili early years curriculum is research informed. The curriculum framework comprises the rigour of the early years foundation stage (EYFS) from the UK woven together with the Ministry of Education Guidelines for 3-6 year old children in China. This ensures a coherent bilingual experience for all pupils that all areas of learning.
