Richard has been an Assistant Vice Principal and Director of Sixth Form with 21 years teaching experience with an exemplary career in Teesside in the North East of England. After completing his Bachelor of Education (Honours) Physical Education in Bedford he moved to teach in the North East of England.
Richard has been a well-respected Senior Leader who has held whole school responsibilities for a wide range of different areas within the schools he as worked at.
Richard’s passion in education started from his love of swimming teaching for which he is now a Fellow of the Institute of Swimming.
Prior to moving out to Hangzhou he was managing and leading a personalised learning centre looking after educational needs of vulnerable students in a 11-18 academy setting. Using his vast experience and being instrumental in setting up foundation learning in Macmillan Academy, he was able to provide excellent educational outcomes for these students who had incredibly challenging life experiences.
Richard is passionate about Mental and Emotional well-being and has guest spoken at conferences and events on the impact of stress on employees and the damage to business productivity.
Richard’s academic teaching experience includes A Level and GCSE Physical Education and has led a consistently positive outcome sports vocational course.
Outside of the workplace he loves many sports & outdoor sports although his age is reducing the seriousness of the participation. During his earlier adult life, he was proud to say that he represented his country at Rugby League gain five caps and scored a try against England.
Mandy graduated from China Communication University. Before joining Huili School Hangzhou, Mandy worked as Academy Coordinator and PA to the Director of Academy in Wellington International Shanghai for three and half years. She has gained abundant experience in activity planning and organizing in Wellington and another international school in Beijing. Mandy is also working with DukeBox manager on school radio programmes.
In her spare time, Mandy loves ultimate frisbee, hiking and jewellery design and making.
Adriano holds two MBAs from the Fluminense Federal University and a Bachelor’s degree from Candido Mendes University in Brazil.
Adriano arrived with a wealth of experience in accounting and financial analysis where he has worked in the manufacturing, engineering and electricity fields, with more than 10 years of experience in international and multicultural companies. Adriano began the venture into the education sector with the belief that each child is unique and he wants to help them find their passion and help them fulfill their dreams.
In his spare time, Adriano enjoys running, martial arts, cooking and reading books.
Maggie holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Hong Kong specializing in Information Technology in Education. She has more than five years of experience in teaching children from Kindergarten up to Junior High Students. Those experiences of teaching and research have broadened her perspective of the world and enabled her to understand the important points of being an educator.
Loris acquired her bachelor’s degree at Zhejiang International Studies University and graduated as one of the most outstanding graduates of Zhejiang Province that year. During university years, she majored in teaching English as the second language and minored in French. She received a Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship and the First Ranking Excellent Students’ Scholarship of Zhejiang International Studies University. She has teaching experiences as an intern in Hangzhou Xuejun High School and Hangzhou Jianlan Middle School. She has been an English teaching assistant during the training period for a Cambridge International English Contest. She also volunteered to work for the First China International Tea Expo, the 13th Student Sports Games of China and the 3rd China-CEEC Cultural Cooperation Forum, doing translation for domestic and foreign friends and providing assistance during the whole events. She has a great passion for the education industry and a strong mind-set for continuous improvement to meet or exceed expectation.
