She has moved to China with her husband, Darren who is a Primary School Teacher and their two children. She feels that she has a natural ability to build rapport with people and has a caring and supportive nature. She has always been surrounded by books, her parents owned a bookshop for 10 years where she spent many happy hours working.
Bethan has a degree in Social Policy and worked for Social Services for many years in the UK and Canada. She also spent 8 years working for the Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in the UK. More recently, she spent 2 years as a Community Governor for the Vale of Evesham School and gained a CELTA – Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification.
She thoroughly enjoys being part of the school community and in the past has helped raise money for schools and other charitable groups, including securing a GBP 20,000 grant for a local special needs school in the UK.
