Emma Sun

Emma Sun, graduated from Minzu University of China and Portland State University with two Master’s Degrees and majored in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and Curriculum & Instruction. Emma holds a National Chinese Teaching Certificate. She was a Mandarin teacher of the Chinese immersion program for Clemson University, and a student teacher in Vernon Elementary School in USA. She worked in Beijing Capital Airlines as a flight training translator and TOEIC teacher, then came to Hangzhou New Oriental as an English teacher to pupils. Later, she worked as a tutor to high school students of an international program in Toronto, Canada.

After four years of systematic learning of Chinese language knowledge in college, Emma has a solid foundation for language teaching. During her postgraduate study, she learned a variety of teaching methods and received intensive training of teaching skills. The international study and work experience made her feel the essence of quality-oriented education, further understanding international education and advanced teaching methods, and to be keen on spreading Chinese traditional culture.

Emma, who has learned piano, dance and calligraphy since childhood, and likes music very much. In her spare time, she likes playing the piano and singing, and swimming and sports as well. She loves traveling and photography, enjoying the beautiful scenery of various countries, experiencing the different culture, and making friends all around the world.
