Helena Xin graduated from Capital Normal University in 2002, with her bachelor degree in biological education and minor certificate in musical education. She worked as a teacher and an academic leader in an IB school for 10 years, which helped her to gain experience in international education. She has won many awards from educational bureau, including leading bio-teacher of Beijing and the 1st place in teaching competition. She also hosted many IB related workshops for Chinese and overseas teachers.
With the explosion of Chinese economy, she turned her eyes to the bilingual education for Chinese students. She started to establish a bridge curriculum between National standard and IB criteria for Chinese students and which gained the found from the government. From 2012, she undertook the director and the vice principal in different Chinese educational groups and bilingual schools. These experiences provided her overall capability of educational leadership.
