Ken Du

Mr. Ken Du obtained his Master’s Degree from Stanford University, majoring in Education with an emphasis on teaching Mandarin. Mr. Du has also got the California single subject teaching certificate in Mandarin and California English Learner Authorization. After graduating from Stanford, Mr. Du started working at American Canyon High School in San Francisco and helped his school district build its first Mandarin program in the area. Within only two years, he was able to double the enrollment and recruit another teacher to expand the Mandarin department. During his four years of teaching, Mr. Du has focused on Project Based Learning and his successful experience in this area earned him the nomination for Teacher of the Year for Napa Valley Unified School District in 2017. Before attending Stanford, Mr. Du worked at New Oriental English School for two years, he taught TOEFL, GRE and GMAT classes to students aged 12-25. During his second year in college, Mr. Du participated in the Disney International College Program organized by Montclair State University and studied business there for six months, which has deepened his understanding of American culture and international cooperation culture. Mr. Du is glad to join the Huili family this year and is looking forward to working with everyone to foster better Huili students!
