May Xue

May pursued her Early Childhood Education in Zhejiang Normal University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education. Her passion for learning and understanding the needs of children motivated her to obtain her Master’s degree in Child Development and Education. May has previously taught in Wellington College Bilingual Shanghai and, also has the experience of working within public kindergartens in Hangzhou. Her teaching experiences have allowed her to become a reflective and creative educator who understands the learning needs of children. May passionately believes that children learn best through play and inspiration modelled by grown-ups . She loves working with children and finds it rewarding to be able to support them in the best learning environment. As someone who was raised in a small city in South China, May has fond memories of her childhood. She is mindful of the impact that an adults have on the children and, the experiences they build together form memories that last a lifetime. May believes that adults can positively influence the lives of children by creating a happy environment and, allowing them to exercise their freedom which in turn will help them develop skills as individuals. In her spare time, May enjoys reading books and articles that increase her knowledge and inspire her understanding of development in Early Years. She also enjoys playing the piano and taking part in boxing classes.
