Rebecca graduated from Jilin Normal University with a bachelor’s degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. After graduation, she went to the University of Glasgow in the UK where she took a Master’s Degree in Educational Studies. Later, she did her second Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Foreign Language, in the University of Portsmouth. Rebecca holds a high school Chinese teacher certificate.
During her study abroad, she worked as a Mandarin teacher in a local Chinese school in Glasgow for two years. After coming back to China, she worked as a Mandarin teacher in a university in Jilin province for one year. Later, she came to Hangzhou as an English teacher in a private high school. Following several years of teaching experience, she is passionate on second langue teaching, which has also strengthened her original choice. The experience of studying abroad helps Rebecca integrate the UK culture and professional knowledge into her second language teaching career.
