In order to fully support our holistic education model, Huili School Shanghai’s leadership team has been involved in the planning, designing, resourcing and development of our campus from the earliest stages. This has afforded us the opportunity to ensure that our learning spaces and facilities, both indoor and outdoor, are exactly what we need them to be. The creation of a new campus has allowed us to question what our fundamental and most basic educational beliefs are; it pushes us to consider how we can make every space count.
We brought in teams of experts from China and the UK, gathering the most relevant and valuable opinions and advice to support our vision. The result is a world-class and purpose-built school that reflects the needs of young learners, affording them the opportunity of accessing inspiring indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
In addition to state-of-the-art classrooms, the campus will have independent learning areas, dedicated science labs, art rooms, design and technology workshops, music practice rooms, a dance studio, a black box theatre, the school theatre, a radio station, an indoor sports hall, a competition-length swimming pool, various sports pitches and courts as well as a running track, to fully cater to and support academic and co-curricular activities. For all our pupils, the two libraries specifically designed for primary and secondary pupils and filled with age-appropriate books are key spaces at the heart of the school, encouraging independent learning and a love of reading.
